Peacocks clothing store is the latest retailer to take up shop in Queens Square, bringing more jobs and investment into the town centre.

The new store, located opposite Costa Coffee was officially opened on Thursday (15 November) by the Mayor of Crawley and Peacocks Regional Manager, Les McLean.

Following a string of retailers moving into the square, including Metrobank who opened earlier this month, the new store to the square is welcomed, as the council – in partnership with West Sussex County Council and The Local Enterprise Partnership, work towards revitalising the public realm with the multi-million pound Crawley Growth Programme.

Cabinet Member for Planning and Economic Development, Councillor Peter Smith, said: “The opening of Peacocks marks the first time Queens Square has been fully occupied since the regeneration and I am delighted to have them join our bustling town centre.

“At the council we have worked hard to regenerate our town centre and the opening of new stores – such as Peacocks, is a great indicator of our success"
